Match Today: Manchester City vs Juventus
23:39
The Argentine Sergio Aguero will miss Manchester City debut this season Champions League against Juventus by a knee injury, said coach Manuel Pellegrini.
Aguero limped off the field on Saturday in the first half of the 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Premier League, a result that kept the coach of the Chilean team with a perfect campaign this season.
David Silva, who recovered from an ankle injury, and Raheem Sterling, who had a hamstring problem, are able to start Tuesday's game against Italian champions after missing the match against Palace. Samir Nasri and Fernandinho could also return.
Aguero suffered an injury in December ligaments in a knee that sidelined him for seven games, but came back with a flurry of goals at the end of the season to finish as top scorer in the Premier League with 26 goals.
However, Argentina's only scored one goal this season, when he scored in a 3-0 win over Chelsea a month ago.
The City will also be without the injured Fabian Delph (hamstring), Pablo Zabaleta (knee) and Gael Clichy (ankle).
Chile could start the match against Juventus with Wilfried Bony as one man in attack. The Ivory Coast is the only available striker who has the City, as Kelechi Iheanacho, the 18 Nigerian scored the winning goal against Palace, is not registered for the Champions League. The "Vecchia Signora" expects confirm that
condition favorite to return to Europe despite twelve years after his last
semifinal in the continental showpiece, in a season that seems to have found
its former greatness again.
But after stumbling against Parma, bottom club in the
thirtieth day of Serie A, the coach Massimiliano Allegri has asked his staff,
undisputed leader of the league with twelve points ahead, more concentration to
avoid a scare in Europe.
The former coach of Milan bet on your best starting
lineup, with the known exception of the French injured Pogba. So, predictably
ahead will be the ensemble formed by the forwards Carlos Tevez and Álvaro
Morata, wreckers in the away win over Borussia Dortmund (0-3) in the second leg
of the second round of the Champions League.
The evergreen Andrea Pirlo, although it has been called,
is still recovering from his recent injury and is not yet clear whether Allegri
decided to have him throughout the match or alternate.
Something that seems to care less at the tip of the
attack, where the veteran Berbatov seems to lease your Martial put the youth.
